Choose your email route
Official instructions checked . Basic Gmail and Outlook.com personal routes need no paid subscription, trial or add-on. Another provider's features and free limits vary: use only tools already included in your account. Work/school policies, mobile menus and installed clients can differ; use your provider's Help when a control is unavailable.
Archive keeps a message for later; delete sends it toward removal under the provider's retention rules. Neither archive nor a folder is a backup, and archiving within your mailbox usually does not free its storage. Do not empty Trash/Deleted Items, forward mail or grant a cleaner access as part of this guide. Moving mail may sync to other devices.
